What Riam has rearned dis Remester
During this semester I learned that discrimination occurs in all cultures too all types of people throughout the world. Discrimination being prevalent in all cultures is demonstrated through The Rez Sisters, The Kite Runner, and "German, Jewish and Neither". All of these texts all show discrimination in different cultures, in "German, Jewish and neither" the speaker is discriminated against by his German classmates even after the events of world war 2. In The Kite Runner Hassan is discriminated against by other Afghans because he is a separate type of Muslim, and is considered to be a lesser person because of his religion. Lastly in The Rez Sisters the women of the story struggle to improve their lives due to the discrimination that they deal with on a daily basis because they are natives. Before this semester I was unaware of how prominent discrimination was around the world and even in Canada, however through the texts we have analyzed during this semester I have learned that discrimination happens everywhere and it is not just due to the color of someones skin it can be due to a small variation in their religion or due to something that happened a very long time ago.
