what I learned

The most important thing i learned from our studies this semester would be how badly we treat the First Nation people. Before this class, I knew somewhat of how the First Nations were getting miss treated but i had no idea it was this bad. They get mistreated by everyone including the cops, that supprised me the most, how even the cops don't treat them the same as everyone else. How are they suppose to feel safe when even the people that are suppose to protect them, wont help them. I learned to not judge people on what they look like because they may just want to fit in with you, The First nations people just want to live their own style of life and to be treated the same as everyone else.

  1. I think a lot of racial or ethnic groups feel the same sense of isolation. Racism is difficult to erradicate, but we are making good first steps by trying to show other perspectives in this course. It looks like this lesson was heard loud and clear by yourself.
