My identity

I define my self as being quiet. I see my self as Canadian because i was born here and i also love playing and watching hockey, I love playing many different sports but my favourites are hockey and baseball. I also love to snowboard. I have played hockey and baseball all my life so they are very important to me. I also like listening to music. My hair also defines me, when i cut my luscious locks i felt lost and like a different person.

  1. I also cut off my long (and at the time) blonde hair in high school, and I wore a hat on the first day back because I didn't want the attention I knew I would get. I forgot to take it off during the anthem and was so embarrassed to get called out by my teacher! I wonder if you are still surprised to see yourself in the mirror? Do you look like a stranger? It's funny how we become so comfortable with a specific look that to change it at all seems like a betrayal to yourself. You have to consider what it was about the hair that was so important, and if perhaps something as simple as losing it could be the spark for an identity revolution: new hair, new attitude, new Shayne? Britney Spears shaved her head to make a statement...why not you?
